Support Health Center Advocacy and Volunteer

Millions of people come to Planned Parenthood for healthcare and information every year. Many of those women, men, and teens express an interest in sharing their experiences and becoming vocal advocates for access to reproductive healthcare. We believe the perspectives and experiences of patients and supporters ought to be a vibrant part of the public discourse on reproductive health issues.

We work to ensure that our supporters are educated about their rights and have the tools they need to take action. Planned Parenthood of Illinois' Health Center Advocacy Program is one way we empower our supporters to ensure Illinois has laws and policies supporting meaningful access to reproductive healthcare and comprehensive sexuality education.

Our Health Center Advocacy volunteers are staffed in health center waiting rooms to engage patients in advocacy efforts. Volunteers distribute information and materials to educate patients about current reproductive health issues; collect petition signatures; help patients register to vote; and discuss various ways for patients to stay informed and become more involved with us.

Our patients are our best advocates, and we need them to stand with us in support of reproductive healthcare access. We are currently looking for highly motivated and passionate volunteers to fill Health Center Advocacy positions in Peoria, Springfield, and the Chicago neighborhoods of Roseland, Englewood, and Wicker Park. Share this opportunity with your personal and professional networks and apply online today! ________________________________________________________________________
