Workshop: Safe Contraception & How to Make Informed Decisions about Contraception Choices

Are you a young girl going through puberty and wondering what's normal? Want to learn about birth control and what you can do to prevent sexually transmitted infections?

Join Planned Parenthood of Illinois and the Ann & Robert Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago this Saturday, December 1 for a health initiative workshop for teens girls and young women.


Workshop objectives

Upon completion of this workshop, participants will:

· Learn about hormonal changes during puberty
· Learn about safe sex and contraceptive methods
· Discuss various methods of hormonal contraception
· Learn when hormonal contraception can expose to risk of blood clots
· Learn about AIDS prevention

This workshop will be conducted as a didactic session and group discussions. Attendees will be given an ample opportunity to discuss their questions with the experts in the field.

Who should attend?
Teen age girls and young women. Mothers are also welcome.

When?
Saturday, December 1, 2012
