Issues: Budget, Fiscal Responsibility, Anti-Corruption, Education, Job Creation

Scott Drury is 100% pro-choice and has been endorsed by Planned Parenthood Illinois Action. Scott Drury knows that women don't turn to politicians for advice about birth control, mammograms, or cancer screenings. He believes that government should not be involved in a woman's personal medical decisions.

Biography:
Scott Drury grew up in the district and is raising his family in our community — one where residents are passionate about issues and deeply invested in working together to create a bright future for the next generation. He is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney and an independent voice who will work with Democrats, Republicans and Independents to fight for fiscal reform and jobs, encourage business growth, strengthen our children’s education, and protect our families and neighborhoods.

During Scott Drury's seven and a half years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, he learned from Patrick Fitzgerald that when you see a problem, you can either stand up and do something about it or be part of the problem. By running for State Representative, Drury has chosen to stand up and do something about Illinois’ problems.

Scott's priorities will reflect the needs of our district. He will work to rein in government spending and implement more fiscally responsible state budgets, support business-friendly policies that help employers create and retain jobs in Illinois, implement tough anti-corruption laws, and ensure that the education of our children — and all children — is a priority. As your State Representative and someone who shares your values, Scott Drury will serve your interests, not special interests.

Scott, his wife Shelby, and their two children live in Highwood. In addition to his role as a public servant, Drury stays connected to his community by coaching AYSO soccer and Park District of Highland Park baseball. He is an advisor to the Deerfield High School Mock Trial Team and a member of the Highland Park League of Women Voters. Scott received his bachelor's degree from the University of California, Berkley and went on to graduate from Northwestern University School of Law.
