Time Out Chicago Features PP Rally at Federal Plaza!

In his blog, Out and About, Time Out Chicago's blogger, John Dugan, highlighted the Stand Up for Women's Health Rally that took place in downtown Chicago on Friday, February 25th. He described the scene as energetic and full of Planned Parenthood supporters holding signs at Federal Plaza.

Dugan mentions PPIL CEO, Carole Brite, and her thoughtful comments about the value of the Title X program and what funding cuts would mean for basic women's health care for tens of thousands of women in Illinois. The article also notes the fervent support of Planned Parenthood shown by Rep. Mike Quigley in his fiery speech after Brite finished her remarks. The Congressman staunchly defended PP and the work that we do to prevent unintended pregnancies and provide early detection of cancer and STIs, among a myriad of other essential services.

The posting also features a slide show of the event with lots of pink signs and smiling faces! Thanks again to everyone who came to the rally and helped spread the word. It was quite a success!  Check out the full blog post here!
