"Stop The War On Women" Campaign!

Over the past several months, Republican leadership has launched one of the biggest legislative assaults on women's health care in our country's history. They have pulled a bait and switch on Americans, failing on their promise to create jobs, and instead, slashing funding for programs that help women.

Proposals have aimed to eliminate all federal funding for Planned Parenthood and other community health centers, and make huge budget cuts to programs that provide aid to low-income women who are pregnant or have young children. Confusingly enough, conservative members of Congress are trying to take away a woman's right to choose AND they do not want to provide health care for women who do have children.
Planned Parenhood knows that many Americans oppose these extreme measures. This Wednesday, a campaign was launched by MoveOn.org and Emily's List. The initiative, called "Stop the War on Women's Health," is mobilizing men and women nationwide to speak out against the recent anti-choice attacks through petitions and grassroots advocacy. The campaign's website also has a great list of the most shocking attacks on women --and trust us, they're shocking.

Make sure to visit their website to read more, share your thoughts, and join the fight to tell Congress to stop the war on women.
