Celebrating Girls This Week

It's Girls’ Rights Week, from May 3-7, which is coordinated by Girls Inc. This week is a yearly celebration of the power of girls, their rights, and the positive influence they have on the world.

This year, girls ages 6-18 from all over the US participated in the Girls Inc. Healthy Girls, Healthy Communities Mapping Project. According to Girls Inc., these intelligent girls “[examined] their neighborhoods, schools, towns, and counties to identify opportunities, barriers, and solutions around physical activity.” We are excited to see what they discover.

PPIA would like to celebrate the power and influence girls have in identifying opportunities for improvement within their communities.
