Candidate Spotlight: Elizabeth Hernandez
PPIA endorses Elizabeth Hernandez for State Representative of Illinois' 23rd District.
Hernandez was elected to this office in 2007, and she is currently serving her first term.
Stance on Choice: Hernandez is admittedly pro-choice. During her time in office, she has supported reproductive rights in the General Assembly, including voting Yes on a bill that would have allowed minors to have an abortion requiring them to notify family, as long as they met with a licensed medical counseling professional. Sadly, this bill failed.
