Candidate Spotlights: Ed Mullen, Dan Farley, Ann Williams

PPIA endorses Ed Mullen, Dan Farley, and Ann Willliams for Illinois State Representative in the 11th District. Each candidate have proven to supportive of reproductive rights.

Ed Mullen is a civil rights lawyer from the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago. He is committed to his community and political reform.

Stance on choice: Mullen states on his website, "Social justice is an important component of any democratic government. I support laws and policies that strengthen the social safety net, including universal health care... I also support progressive social values such as a woman's right to choose, marriage equality, and environmental protection."

Dan Farley was born and raised in Lakeview, and has become a hard-working leader in the area, as president of the Welles Park Advisory Council and a member of several community organizations.

Stance on choice: "Unfortunately, there are groups and legislators who want to take this right away. I am 100 percent pro-choice and will fight any right-wing effort to weaken or eliminate this cherished right," Farley stated.
