Candidate Spotlight: Sara Feigenholtz

PPIA endorses Sara Feigenholtz for State Representative of Illinois' 12th District.

Feigenholtz has served the 12th District as state representative since 1995. During her time in office, she has proven that she cares about her constituency.

She states on her website, "As Chair of the House Human Services Appropriations Committee, I have dedicated my lifework to expanding access to health care and raising the quality-of-life for all Illinois residents, an ongoing effort that continues to guide my decision-making."

Stance on choice: She is a fervent supporter of reproductive justice. NARAL has given her a 100 pro-choice rating based on her voting record.

Recently, Feigenholtz helped secure, along with Gov. Quinn, $3.4 billion for HIV/AIDs research and prevention in Illinois.

Isn't she running unopposed in the primary and general election?
