Contact the Aurora City Council!

Anti-choice extremists are at it again.

As you may have heard, anti-choice extremists are continuing their campaign against our Aurora health center by fighting our application for eleven additional parking spaces at our Aurora health center.

We have applied to the city for additional parking spaces to create a safer and more secure environment for our staff. Currently, we do not have enough parking for our staff. As a result, some employees cannot park near our building, which opens them up to harassment from anti-choice protestors who regularly follow and heckle them when they are going to and from work.

Though the Aurora Planning and Development Committee approved our parking application last week, Alderman Rick Lawrence filed an appeal for it.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. the Aurora City Council will vote on the issue and decide whether or not to grant us additional parking.

Please send a letter to the Aurora mayor and City Council members. Tell them that you support Planned Parenthood's request for additional parking because it is an issue of safety.

Thanks for your support!

This is a lie: "We have applied to the city for additional parking spaces to create a safer and more secure environment for our staff. Currently, we do not have enough parking for our staff."

I have been out there on several mornings when workers CHOOSE to park in the patient lot when there are many available spaces in the employee parking area.
